Whispers on the Adriatic is the story of Giovanni DeMontessori, ascendant 14th-century Venetian shipwright, as he sails south atop the cool waters of the Adriatic Sea on a secret and deadly quest for utter glory. Guided by the stars and charged by the Doge of Venice to deliver a mysterious package to the Governor of Crete, will Giovanni overcome the pirates, monsters, and strange temptations that plague him on his quest? Or will he become lost, forever adrift in the blue and boundless waves of the Adriatic?
Whispers is a comedic historical fiction podcast created by Jordan Moeller, with live stage adaptations performed at Hollywood Fringe Festival, Seattle Sketchfest, and Denver Sketchfest in 2026. Season one of Whispers on the Adriatic will be released on March 4, 2027.
